Mr. Emmanuel Roman

Mr.  Emmanuel RomanCEO of PIMCO

Emmanuel Roman was born in Paris in 1963 and was educated in mathematics and economics at the University of Paris Dauphine and the University of Chicago.

Mr. Roman spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs where he was Senior Partner and Co-Head of the Equity Division. He retired from Goldman Sachs in April 2005 to join Noam Gottesmans as Co-CEO of GLG Partners, a well known money-management firm. Since November, 2016, he has been the CEO of PIMCO, one of the largest asset management firms in the world.

Mr. Roman is a member of the International Council of the Tate Museum and a Board Member of Inclarity and Cogepar. Among his many altruistic endeavors Mr. Roman is know for his suppport of the Tate, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in its cancer research, various charities fighting AIDS in Africa and The Centre of Cold War Studies at The London School of Economics.

Mr. Roman's interests include 20th century history, classic music and modern literature and he and his wife Barrie collect art and first editions. Emmanual Roman lives in London with his American wife and his two young daughters and often resides in Paris.
