The Dan David Prize is an international prize which annually awards three prizes of US$ 1 million each for outstanding scientific, technological, cultural, and social achievements having an impact on our world. Each year fields are chosen within the three Time Dimensions - Past, Present and Future.

The three review committees, comprised of world-renowned experts in their fields, have finalized their deliberations on the nominations received and have submitted their recommendations to the Dan David Prize Board. The Board will announce their decision at the beginning of February.
Young Israeli students participate in Dan David Prize Writing Workshop
The Dan David Prize together with the The Dov Lautman Unit for Science Oriented Youth, held the "Name Your Hero" Essay Competition Workshop on Monday, January 19th at Tel Aviv University. 1200 summaries were received! The 100 high school students who submitted the most interesting ideas about individuals they deem worthy of the Prize, participated in the one day event, receiving guidelines about writing and listening to a scientific lecture given by Dr. Vered Padler-Karavani, "Aiming at the Sweet Spot of Cancer".
